Hyde Park Update

Wanted to update my comments on the goods/bads of Hyde Park posted last fall.

• Hyde Park Co-Op, 70 year old grocer which was struggling, finally closed and will be replaced by Treasure Island. Feel sorry to see such an old institution go but am really excited for new and improved shopping.
• The small but loveable Hyde Park Produce reopened (finally) down the street in Kimbark Plaza with way more space. Still don't have everything but it's a nice improvement.
• Discovered: Calypso Cafe, Dixie Kitchen, Bonjour Bakery and Cedars Mediterranean.
• Think the University is working on expanding public transport around the neighborhood.
